Catherine began working for Qube Global Software in May 1997 in Software Support looking after the Real Estate Manager and Property Manager programs. She left in 1999 to pursue a new career in Auckland and returned to us in 2000 prior to departing for the UK in 2001. In March 2003 Catherine was back, to take up a position in our Customer Care Team. Outside of work, Catherine enjoys sport and fashion, and enjoys long walks. I mean really long walks – up to 50 kilometres at a time in preparation for her Oxfam 24 hour non-stop walk, which she completed in April 2015.
Catherine works at Qube four-and-a-half days a week after her second stint of maternity leave, and is a proud mum to her two boys, Ben and Joe.
Claudine joined Qube Global Software as a Technical Analyst in September 2015, after moving to New Zealand from the Philippines earlier that year. Claudine has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from St Louis University, where she graduated cum laude, and has a passion for SQL and web development. Prior to joining Qube, she worked for Accenture in Manila for 5 years.
Claudine thinks New Zealand is an awesome place, and loves living in Tauranga. Outside of work Claudine loves to bake, is an art enthusiast, practices calligraphy, is a movie buff, and writes whenever she can. She will be a great addition to our quiz team, Vision Qubed (formerly known as Double Vision).
Diana joined Qube Global Software in November 2007 as a Technical Writer. She has a degree in English and extensive documentation and consulting experience. Diana has worked with many blue-chip clients in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom before choosing to settle in the Bay of Plenty. In her free time she relaxes in local cafes, down at the beach, or in the garden. Diana is also active in local community theatre.
Gill joined Qube Global Software in July 2005, and she's a true multi-tasker, providing first and second-line support to Qube Vision clients, as well as testing new versions, training staff and clients and assisting with UAT (User Acceptance Testing). After intensive training in the UK in early 2015, Gill now provides both training and first-line support services to our Australasian clients using Qube Horizon. Gill has a strong background in computer accounting support, and is often the very welcome first point of contact for users requesting assistance.
Gill has now moved to a lifestyle block and is entertaining us hugely with her stories of being townies chasing (but mainly being chased by) the cows around the place. The farm is a great source of delicious avocados, especially after a decent wind.
Jo Newcombe Cook
Jo began working for Qube Global Software in March 2006, in a contract analyst/writer role, and impressed us so much we offered her a permanent position as a Senior Business Analyst later that year. Jo left in 2010 to give birth to twin boys, and returned on a casual basis in 2011, and later to a permanent part-time role. She currently works around 15 hours a week, performing business analysis and revising and updating our training workbooks.
Outside of work, Jo's life is full of everything that mothering 4 kids with her husband Chris entails, and she admits to coming to work for some peace and quiet.
Phil joined Qube Global Software in March 2006 as a Business Analyst working with the property management applications. Apart from a four-year sabbatical in Mexico, Phil has worked in application design and support since 1987 across a number of platforms, always with a focus on customer requirements.
Away from work Phil helps raise two children with his wife Lupita, mixes guitar lessons with virtuoso practicing, and has been known to swim and jog when encouraged.
Rebecca joined Qube Global Software in June 2012 in a Software Support role, coming from a background in Office Management where she combined her skills of accounting and administration. She quickly learned to find her way around Qube Vision and, with her accounting knowledge, was a big help in our Customer Care Team. In October 2014 Rebecca transferred her skills to the Sales Team and has developed the fine art of persuasion – resistance is futile.
In her spare time, Rebecca loves to read novels and go for walks with her husband Mike and Suki, her "SPCA Special" German shepherd/lab cross. Rebecca also plays (slightly) competitive squash and helps to organise local tournaments and interclub events.
Stuart joined Qube Global Software in May 2011 in a Software Support role, after selling the Early Childhood business he had owned for more than 3 years. Stuart has extensive experience in a number of IT roles both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Stuart has a great interest in aviation and hopes to complete his private pilot's licence this year (he has said the same thing every year).
In April 2012, Stuart was promoted to a new position of Application and Technical Support, where, in addition to his normal job and together with David, he helps our clients (and often colleagues too) to sort out technical issues.
Tanya joined Qube Global Software in April 2014 in a Software Support position, having worked in a similar role in South Africa before emigrating to Taupo. There she gained experience as a Project Coordinator for a facility maintenance company, before shifting to the sunny Bay of Plenty in search of a warmer climate.
At home Tanya treasures quality time with her husband and young son. The design and presentation of Tanya's cv blew us all away, thanks to her husband's fantastic graphic design skills. Tanya is an avid movie-goer with an impressive collection, and enjoys the beach and sun.
David joined Qube Global Software in May 2016 in an Application and Technical Support role, and will be providing software support and training to our Qube Vision clients, as well as tech support both internally and to our clients and their IT people. David has a Bachelor of Information Technology and relocated from Wellington, where he worked in a range of positions from IT Technician to an IT Trainer and Implementation Consultant for an EDRMS supplier.
In his spare time, David is looking forward to enjoying the beautiful Mt Maunganui weather, and getting back onto the golf course after a few years in retirement. David enjoys playing guitar and has spent a number of years playing bass or guitar in different bands; he also tries to do a bit of running now and then to keep his fitness up.
